Introducing Hearts All Around!

The ever practical Schnapps insisted that we use up some partial skeins that we had around the house, so he sat down with me and we made this up as we went along.  Thank you Kimberly for the name!  The photo might not show it, but there are a ring of hearts around the red stripe of this hat.

Thank you to everyone who has purchased patterns and e-books! 100% of the price is used for shipping and supply costs. Please understand that the 'for purchase' only patterns will not be given out free - please do not tell me that since you are knitting for charity they should be free. First of all, I have no way of knowing how the patterns are being used, nor do I need to know. Most of my patterns are already free because I want everyone to be able to use them in any way they wish. Those that are for purchase are fundraisers for DEHH. Schnapps and I spend a LOT of time putting patterns together for everyone and answering questions about patterns, free and purchased. We also spend a lot of money on shipping and supply costs and this is a way that we can offset costs while supplying new and different patterns to those who are able to purchase them. It is completely understandable for people to only use free patterns - we do not mind at all! But, it's not fair to those who have purchased patterns for us to send them free to others. THANK YOU for understanding! ♥

Schnapps thanks everyone for understanding too!

I used remnants of skeins of Michael's Charisma yarn for this hat, but you could use any 5-weight yarn.  You would knit it all in one color or just use two colors.  Have fun with it and enjoy!  I have also included instructions for different yarn weights as well.

If you're not a fan of Delaware Head Huggers yet, stop by and "Like" our Facebook page.  Help us name the patterns and see all the beautiful hats that are donated.  Stop by Kozy Kovers for Kids Facebook page too!  We welcome everyone to join us.  Stop by and say hello.  You can always reach Schnapps or me at robin@delawareheadhuggers.org too.

To knit this using worsted weight yarn, use size 8 needles and cast on 90 stitches.

To make it child size, use worsted yarn, size 8 needles and cast on 60 stitches.  Adjust in increments of 10 stitches for individual sizes.

To knit this using sport weight yarn, use size 5 needles and cast on 120 stitches.

If using a different weight, you might have to add more rows to the crown decrease.

Feel free to use dpns if you prefer!
